Sydney Hellenic Dance Company teaches Greek dancing to students from the ages of 4 - adults.

The company also provides professional performances in folkloric and Modern Greek dance for both community and private events.

Directors Georgia Gouros and Jenny Zagas are trained in all aspects of dance including ballet, jazz, tap, contemporary, character and folkloric dance. In 2020 Jenny and Georgia celebrated 35 years of teaching service to the Greek community. Both directors have a passion for their cultural background and have studied Greek dance since they were children performing with the famous Sirtaki Group.

Jenny and Georgia aim to instil in students a pride of their cultural heritage and a love of dance. Students are exposed to a variety of performance styles and experience a combination of traditional dance, contemporary dance, choreographed routines, drama, mime, entertainment and traditional song.
