Sydney Hellenic Dance Company teaches Greek dancing to students from the ages of 4 - adults.

Jenny and Georgia aim to instil in students a pride of their cultural heritage and a love of dance. Students are exposed to a variety of performance styles and experience a combination of traditional dance, contemporary dance, choreographed routines, drama, mime, entertainment and traditional song.

The company also provides professional dance performances in folkloric and Modern Greek for both community and private events.

Directors Georgia Gouros and Jenny Zagas are trained in all aspects of dance including ballet, jazz, tap, contemporary, character and folkloric dance. In 2024 Jenny and Georgia celebrate 39 years of teaching service to the Greek community. Both directors have a passion for their cultural background and have studied Greek dance since they were children performing with the famous Sirtaki Dance Group under the direction of Mr Theofanis Petsinis.
